When we’re making reservations for our hotel of choice, we assume that it, as well as the rooms and the living spaces within it, will be outfitted with basic, quality hotel supplies. Travelers have never been more aware of what they’re paying for than they are today, especially as most people are on a budget. They are paying more attention to the details and familiarizing themselves with which amenities and hotel supplies are available at each of the hotels they’re looking at. The hotel supplies decorating guest rooms should reflect value and quality; they should also be useful. Equally important, though typically overlooked, are the smallest of hotel supplies. Most hotel guests use and value the hotel stationery as well as the coffee maker and the hotel information binder, among other hotel supplies. While every guest has different preferences, when hotels consider the needs of every guest, common hotel supplies satisfy most of them easily and cost effectively, too.
When you’re decorating and outfitting hotels, it’s hard to do too much, between the details and hotel supplies. People choose their hotel based upon several factors, not the least of which is the amenities package including everything from pens to towels, irons to bath mats. Of the things that are most likely to affect a person’s hotel stay, rooms that are sub-par or missing amenities and facilities that fail to meet expectations are frequent among them. The smallest details matter a great deal. Although most parts of a person’s vacation or visit may not be within the hotel’s ability to control, the amenities and hotel supplies they offer guests are, so why not use them? After all, a great trip becomes free advertising when people share their experience with everyone they know, which makes it a “win” all the way around.
