3-1-1 liquid airplane rule?
Hi, im flying from JFK in NY to France on saturday. I want to bring my travel sized toiletries with me in my carry on just in case the luggage gets lost. I know the 3-1-1 rules says to put the liquids in a quart sized clear ziplock bag however i have a clear plastic toiletry case. can that be used instead? i dont know how strict the airlines are being lately.
I think it depends on how big your toiletry case is. One reason for the quart sized bag requirement is that it limits how much liquid you can carry on to the plane. If you have a 2 qt. sized toiletry bag filled with 3.4 oz liquids, you will most likely have a problem.
Since a quart sized baggie takes up no room and weighs virtually nothing, why don’t you just stick by the rules and transfer your liquids into your toiletry bag when you get to France?
