Frequent travelers know the importance of a well packed toiletry case. It is never cool to be caught without a toothbrush when you are stranded at an airport after your flight has been delayed. While traditionally toiletry kits were plastic zipper bags which came in fairly standard sizes, today the modern traveler prefers to select a zippered bag in a size that is most convenient for him. His choice will also depend on the duration of travel. An overnight stay might call for a small bag to carry basics in, while a longer stay warrants a larger bag which will fit in shampoo bottles and travel sized hairdryers.
Another thing to consider is where youâ??ll be keeping your toiletry case. In most instances, it will go into your hand luggage fore easy access should you need it on your journey. If this is the case, then size does matter. Recent US and international security concerns have given rise to the new rule, where travelers can carry only 3 ounces of liquid or less in containers of 1 quart size. This should be secured in a clear zip top bag for easy identification, and only 1 such bag is allowed per person. Also known as the 3-1-1 rule, it is easy to see how this limits the size of your toiletry case.
